Today is a big day for Japanese games as Sony has just concluded its 2017 Tokyo Game Show press conference. There were a lot of reveals, loads of VR and new trailers shown off and we even got a release date for the upcoming title Monster Hunter World. Here are some of the highlights from the briefing.
Left Alive Announced:
Left Alive is a new title by developer Square Enix. The game seems to take place in a futuristic world and is described as a “brand-new survival action shooter.” The game’s character designs are done by Yoji Shinkawa, the character designer for Metal Gear. Also the mech designer Takayuki Yanase has his hand in the project as well.
Monster Hunter World Release Date Announced:
Capcom announced that their new entry into the Monster Hunter series will be released January 26, 2018. Not only that, they also revealed many other surprises such as a preorder bonuses, special editions of the game, and last but not least a Monster Hunter Themed PS4 Pro system.
Shadow of Collossus Remake:

Final Fantasy IX
Final Fantasy IX will be released for the PS4 today updated with HD cutscenes and character models. This new PS4 version of the game will include seven “booster” features.
Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner Remaster:
Sony also announced that Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner will be remastered for the PS4 and will include VR support. The game will be released as Anubis: Zone of the Enders – Mars in spring 2018 in Japan.
Noctis Revealed For Dissidia Final Fantasy NT
The hero from Final Fantasy XV will be joining the roster to fight along other protagonists in the series in Dissidia.
Dragon Crown Announced For PS4
This new version of the RPG will be enhanced to feature 4K support, and ill be coming to consoles in Japan on January 25.
Japan Studio VR Music Festival
This game will feature many Sony Studios and will allow players to experience music from franchises as if they were in an orchestra.
