Nintendo’s latest Partner Showcase Nintendo Direct came today following an announcement made by the company yesterday. With the event came new information about many games coming to the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2.
The first game announced was Orbitals, a sci-fi coop adventure game featuring different tools that help with platforming and progression. The game is set to release on both the Switch and Switch 2 in the summer of 2026.
Paranormasight The Mermaid’s Curse is the latest mystery in the series, following Yuza after a haunting diving experience with his alternate self. Players will have the chance to connect strange happenings around the town with the mermaid legends around the town. The game is set to release February 19th.
Captain Tsubasa 2: World Fighters bring over 110 characters and new special moves. It is scheduled to launch on the Nintendo Switch this year.
Next, the direct showed off Tokyo Scramble, a survival game set in the subterranean depths beneath Tokyo where players will be tasked with avoiding large monsters called Zino. The game will release on February 11th with preorder available today.
Valheim, a Viking-themed survival game where players can build Viking strongholds and explore the land, is set to release this year.
The immensely popular Hollow Knight will be receiving upgrades as it makes its way to Switch 2, with the changes being available now to those with the Switch version of the game.
eFootball Kick Off! is be made available with multiplayer between systems this summer on the Switch 2.
A new RPG made by the team behind the Octopath Traveler games, The Adventures of Elliot: The Millenium Tales, is focused on exploring different ages of a fantasy world and gaining powers from each period. The game is coming June 18th.
Multiple games from the Bomberman series will be making their way onto the Switch systems with Super Bomberman Collection, including those that had not previously been released worldwide. The game is available today on both Switch systems.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, the latest entry in the Final Fantasy VII Remake series will launch on Nintendo Switch 2 on June 3rd.
The direct gives a closer look at Pragmata, a game about a man and android girl working together to try to survive. The girl, named Diana, will be able to help in combat by hacking into robotic enemies to open up weak points of other special effects. The game is coming to Switch 2 on April 24th.
Turok Origins allows players to traverse an alien landscape while hunting monsters and upgrading equipment. It is coming in the fall of 2026.
Kyoto Xanadu exists in a reality where Kyoto is the capital of Japan, and the city is under attack by monsters from another world. Players will have a team to traverse a 2D space before engaging in 3D RPG battles. The game is coming to both Switch consoles in the summer of 2026.
The latest Digimon game, Digimon Story Time Stranger is releasing June 10th, with preorders available now.
The direct also showed off Granblue Fantasy: Relink -Endless Ragnarok, a fantasy game about building a party and fighting with monsters. It will release for the Switch 2 on July 9th.
The new monster hunter game allows players to upgrade their monster allies, called monsties, to help them in battle. Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection is coming to Switch 2 on March 13th.
The Arcade Archives 2 is getting more options with Rave Racer and a new archive system, Console Archives, is bringing Doraemon, Sonic Wing Special, Cool Borders, and Ninja Gaiden II: The Dark Sword of Chaos coming later today.
The Partner Direct later features a sizzle reel including Scott Pilgrim EX available March 3rd, Another Eden Begins available summer 2026, Reanimal available February 13th, WWE 2K26 available March 13th, Star Trek Voyager: Across the Unknown available February 18th, Disney Dreamlight Valley available March 25th, PGA Tour 2K25 available February 6th, Culdcept Begins available July 16th, Goat Simulator 3 available April 1st, Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun available March 18th, and Tales of ARISE: Beyond the Dawn Edition available May 22.
The partner direct has also offered fans another look at the upcoming Resident Evil Requiem, showing off story and gameplay moments for both characters. The game will be available on Switch 2 on February 27th alongside Resident Evil Village and Resident Evil Biohazard.
As the last announcement, Todd Howard from Bethesda came on to talk about the company’s partnership with Nintendo and upcoming games on the Switch consoles.
The first of these games is Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition, coming to Switch 2 on February 24th.
Next up, the Direct showed off the Switch 2 version of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle coming May 12th with preorders available now.
Finally, the Switch 2 will be receiving The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, a version with updated graphics and animations and sporting both of the game’s expansions. The game will be available this year for Nintendo Switch 2.
