The latest Nintendo Direct is finally here after weeks of intense online speculation and rumors. Nintendo’s latest presentation showcased 40 minutes of new and exciting titles releasing on the Nintendo Switch in 2023, including Pikmin 4, 1-2-Switch and much more. Here’s recap of all the titles shown in Nintendo’s June 2023 Direct.
Super Mario Bros. Wonder:
The next 2D side-scrolling Super Mario Bros. game is finally here! Excitement and wonder await in each course in Super Mario Bros. Wonder. Play as Mario, Luigi, Toad, Princess Peach, Princess Daisy and Yoshi in a brand new adventure with new wacky power ups. Super Mario Bros. Wonder is set to release for Nintendo Switch on Oct. 20. Pre-orders begin today in Nintendo eShop and in the My Nintendo Store on Nintendo.com. More information will be revealed in a later date.
Super Mario RPG:
Nintendo revealed the remake of a SNES classic. Super Mario RPG follows the story of Mario and friends as they face off against the menacing Smithy Gang to recover seven stars and repair the Star Road. Navigate the fantastical revamped world of the Mario franchises’ first RPG as Mario, Bowser, Princess Peach, and original characters Mallow and Geno. Super Mario RPG launches for Nintendo Switch November 17, 2023.
Detective Pikachu Returns:
Become the partner of the great detective Pikachu and unravel mysteries across Ryme City. Take the role as Tim Goodman and his talkative Pikachu partner as they solve a series of mysterious incidents with the help of other Pokemon. Explores the origins of the coffee-loving detective Pikachu in this cinematic adventure game. when Detective Pikachu Returns launches for Nintendo Switch on October 6, 2023. Pre-orders begin later today in Nintendo eShop and in the My Nintendo Store.
The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC for Pokemon Scarlet or Violet:
Explore more of the world of Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet in its latest DLC, where players delve past leaving the Paldea region in a two part adventure. Part 1: The Teal Mask is set to release in fall 2023 and Part 2: The Indigo Disk is set to release in winter 2023. Pre-orders for The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC are available now in Nintendo eShop and in the My Nintendo Store.
Sonic Superstars:
Join Sonic and friends in a new 2d platformer adventure game. Play as one of four playable characters through 12 new zones as you face off against old nemeses Dr. Eggman and Fang . With the powers of seven new Emeralds, players can traverse and fight their way through the mystical Northstar Islands in new, dynamic ways. Play through the entire campaign in single player or local co-op, up to four players when Sonic Superstars launches on Nintendo Switch fall 2023.
Palia:
Enter a cozy free-to-play, massively multiplayer online (MMO) adventure game where players can build the life and home of their dreams. With a customizable character, players can unravel the mysteries of this world and meet new friends along the way, while gather materials to craft an ideal home. Palia releases on Nintendo Switch Holiday 2023.
Persona 5 Tactica:
Assemble a beloved team of heroes in a new tactical spinoff of Persona 5. The Phantom Thieves find themselves in grave danger after a strange incident until a mysterious revolutionary rescues them and offers a deal in exchange for their help. With a three-hero squad from eight playable characters, players must fight their way in turn-based combat within a flashy uprising. Persona 5 Tactica launches on Nintendo Switch November 17, 2023.
Pikmin 4:
Play as the newest recruit of the Rescue Corps in the newest installment in the Pikmin series. With the Pikmin’s help, players must collect treasures around the planet’s different environments to fix the Rescue Corp’s spaceship’s radar. Head out in day or night expeditions and face off against dangerous new creatures affected by nightfall. Pikmin 4 releases on Nintendo Switch July 21, 2023. A Pikmin 4 will be available in Nintendo eShop and in the My Nintendo Store on June 28.
Pikmin 1 and Pikmin 2 HD:
Pikmin 1 and 2 are coming to the Nintendo Switch today on the Nintendo eShop and in the My Nintendo Store. Both games will be available individually or in a discounted digital bundle. Additionally, a physical version including both games will be available on Sept. 22. All four Pikmin games will be available on the Nintendo Switch by July 21, 2023.
Batman: Arkham Trilogy:
Rocksteady’s critically acclaimed Batman trilogy is headed to Nintendo Switch in one package, including all DLC. Soar across the skies and streets of Gotham City as the caped crusader in Batman: Arkham Asylum, Batman: Arkham City and Batman: Arkham Knight when Batman: Arkham Trilogy releases exclusively on Nintendo Switch fall 2023.
WarioWare: Move It!:
The next WarioWare game is here! Experience a new wave of motions with the Joy-Con controllers as players take on lightning-fast micro-games. Play alongside four players in local Party Mode and react quickly to over 200 micro-games when WarioWare: Move It! releases launching on the Nintendo Switch system November 3, 2023. Pre-orders begin today in Nintendo eShop and in the My Nintendo Store.
Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope: The Last Spark Hunter:
Join Mario and friends in their latest paid DLC adventure to a musical planet, filled with new areas to explore and new enemies to battle. Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope – in The Last Spark Hunter releases today on the Nintendo eShop and the My Nintendo Store. A demo of the main game is also available.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Booster Course Pass Wave 5:
New courses and characters have been added to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Squeaky in Wave 5 of the Booster Course Pass DLC. Players can now race with old favorites like Petey Piranha, Wiggler, and Kamek on the games newest course Clean Sprint. Wave 5 of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass releases on the Nintendo Switch this summer. The Booster Course Pass can be purchased separately in Nintendo eShop and in the My Nintendo Store or through the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership.
METAL GEAR SOLID: MASTER COLLECTION Vol.1:
Experience the original METAL GEAR series on the Nintendo Switch. Splatoon 3 Splatfest July 2023:
Splatoon 3’s latest Splatfest has been announced. From 5 PM PT July 14 to 5 p.m. PT. July 16 at, players will decide which ice cream flavor is best Vanilla, Strawberry, or Mint Chip. Guide your favorite flavor to victory in themed battles with Challenges. More information on the Splatfest will be available in the future.
Just Dance 2024 Edition:
Just Dance 2024 Edition is coming to the Nintendo Switch, featuring 40 new songs ranging from new hits to beloved classics. Up to five players can play in either online and local multiplayer. Gloomhaven:

Manic Mechanics:

New amiibo figures from The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom have been announce. Players can scan select amiibo figures to unlock various in-game items to enhance their experience. The amiibo figures of Zelda and Ganondorf are set to release holiday 2023.
Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon – Switch:
Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon is coming to the Nintendo Switch. Explore haunted mansions full of spooky specters and bone-chilling challenges as Luigi to save Evershade Valley. Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon is set to release on Nintendo Switch in 2024. More information will be available in the future.
Unnamed Princess Peach Game:
Nintendo teased a new game staring Princess Peach! Yes, you heard that right, Princess Peach will star as the main character in her own new game in 2024. Not much is known but more information will be shown in the future.
Lastly, Nintendo will be headed to Seattle for their Nintendo Live 2023 alongside PAX West. Those that attend can play games, enjoy live performances, take photos with your favorite characters and more! Additionally, attendees can cheer on players in two cheer two championships, and other on-site tournaments. This free, all-ages event will take place at the Seattle Convention Center on September 1-4, 2023. Registration for random ticket drawings ends June 22, 2023.
