With Mar10 Day only being about a week away now, Nintendo has decided to release a plethora of information regarding the events and promotions planned for the 10th of March. There will be many sales and events planned from the 10th onward, with a few extra bonuses that might incentivize fans to pick up their wallets.
According to 9to5toys, this year’s celebration of Mar10 Day will be split into two, two-week sections of sales. The first section, from the 10th until the 23rd, features DLC and video game sales for games such as Mario Party Superstars, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, Yoshi’s Crafted World, and Luigi’s Mansion 3. The second half, from the 24th to the 5th of April, will feature more deals on games such as Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Super Mario Odyssey, New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe, Super Mario Maker 2, and Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury.
Going more in depth on some of the sales presented for Mar10 Day, according to Nintendo Everything, Nintendo is announcing their Nintendo Switch Mario Choose One Bundle, which will cost $300. In this bundle, players will get the Nintendo Switch, as well as a choice from one of three Mario games, including: Super Mario Odyssey, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe, which will come to about $60 savings.
There will also be a retail sale on select games, saving upwards of $20 on many of the mainline Mario games that have been listed above.
Additionally, there will also be the release of multiple new events to celebrate Mar10 Day. The first of these events comes from GameStop. On March 11, from noon until 4 p.m. players can go to GameStop store locations to play Mario games and get free Mario-themed items, while supplies last. There will also be a sweepstakes held by Nintendo from March 10 until April 25, which will provide the winner with a trip to Universal Studios, Super Mario World, with up to three guests. Furthermore, Nintendo Fun: Kids will provide DIY crafts, Nintendo-themed quizzes and gameplay featuring Mario characters, which can all be found on the Play Nintendo Website and Play Nintendo YouTube Channel.
As far as new content is concerned, the Nintendo Twitter account announced that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe was releasing the fourth wave of their booster pass on the 9th of March. In this booster pack would be a total of eight new courses and Birdo returning as a playable character.
These bundles and events will begin to trickle out throughout the next month, so there will be plenty to entice fans of the series to buy over the course of this Mar10 Day celebration.
