One of the major headlines for today’s Summer Game Fest Showcase was the release of a short trailer announcing Dead by Daylight – Nicolas Cage. Although the collaboration trailer was very short, only showing pieces of gameplay, led by the titular Nicholas Cage, that is all it needed to be.
Nicholas Cage also came on stage at the live show for the reveal to share his thoughts on the upcoming collaboration and why he chose to do it. He claims that the reason for choosing to collaborate with this game is because he is a fan of the horror genre and a character named Sadako was in this game which he jokingly said “was enough for him.”
Nicholas Cage will be playing as, well, himself in this “museum of horror” thinking he is going to a film location. However the story actually starts with him waking up in a fog surrounded by crows and serial killers. Cage will be a survivor in this game trying to survive against the plethora of horror elements trying to get him.
According to the trailer, Nicholas Cage will be a playable character in the Dead by Daylight x Nicholas Cage collaboration in an update coming on July 25th.
