Ni no Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom, has unfortunately been delayed once again. It was initially slated to release in November of this year but then was delayed for a January 2018 release instead. And now, developer Level-5 has lengthened the time between now and the release of the sequel even further.
The popular Japanese RPG will now release on March 23, 2018 for Playstation 4 as well as Microsoft Windows . In response to the first delay announcement director and CEO of development studio Level-5 Akihiro Hino stated that they simply needed more time to work on the game. The developer seemed to have used that time to add a couple new modes within the sequel, kingdom builder and a new battle type called “skirmishes”. And with the announcement of this second delay Hino stated that the development team is still making adjustments to within the game to ensure that it “meets our highest quality standards.”
“With innovation and new ideas comes the need to ensure everything works together in a fun and cohesive way; this means we’ll need a bit more time to make sure the entire Ni no Kuni 2 experience meets our highest quality standards, So today, I would like to ask for everyone’s patience as we move Ni no Kuni 2’s worldwide release date to March 23, 2018.”
Although this might have been quite disheartening to most fans, it seems as Hino and his team at Level-5 have high expectations for Ni no Kuni 2 and are putting a great deal of time and effort to create a worthy sequel.
