Electronic Arts has published a new gameplay trailer for Wild Hearts which is an upcoming action roleplay game developed by Omega Force. Players got a first look at its development with the reveal trailers from last year but now we have a new gameplay trailer that was just released.
Wild Hearts is set in an environment inspired by the time and setting of Feudal Japan. In the world of Azuma, the land is swarmed with giant beasts that are infused with the powers of nature known as Kemono. Players are tasked to hunt down these creatures through various weapons and abilities. The main weapon in the game is Karakuri which is an ancient device that according to the game’s lore, its function was lost to people until the main hunter shows up. And with this Karakuri, players will face monsters as they seek to hunt them down.
The gameplay trailer presents viewers with a look at how the different weapons function in the game. The trailer shows the hunter engaged in a battle with a Golden Tempest, a giant lion infused with the power of nature. The first weapon that is showcased is the Claw Blade. The dual weapons gives players swift, nimble and precisive strikes to foes as well as swift aerial movement. The Cannon is a slow but powerful weapon at the player’s disposal which is capable of shooting energy blasts or beams. This makes it a powerful weapon to use with battles against ferocious beasts. The final weapon shown is the Karakuri Staff. It morphs from a staff to a giant blade that unleashes powerful strikes. The Karakuri is also able to form structures to hide behind as well as hammers for additional hits against the Kemono. Wild Hearts will have an online co-op feature so players will be able to hunt down Kemono together. Wild Hearts is scheduled to be released February 17, 2023, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
