Now, New Wave Toys has revealed the second arcade machine in its RepliCade Wave II lineup. The second machine is Food Fight x RepliCade. Food Fight was developed by General Computer Corporation (GCC) and was released in 1983 by Atari. The Food Fight x RepliCade features beautiful cabinet artwork, runs the original arcade ROM, and will include replica of the Banana-Top joystick that was used by developer Jonathan Hurd during field testing. There is also a Food Fight x RepliCade pre-order exclusive that comes with a variant that has yellow T-molding and alternative side panel art featuring Charlie Chuck in a striped red t-shirt. The pre-order exclusive is a strictly limited edition and is only available for pre-order. The expected ship date for both Food Fight x RepliCade variants is Q1 2023.
The Food Fight x RepliCade is officially licensed by Atari and features a cabinet constructed from traditional materials including wood, metal, and plastic, illuminated marquee and cabinet accents, high-resolution cabinet art reproduction on quality 3M vinyl overlays, diecast metal coin doors with storage compartments, and a premium LCD color screen with a 4:3 aspect ratio (horizontal orientation).
The machine also comes with an arcade operator’s menu with customizable dip switch and cabinet settings, a miniaturized control panel featuring reproduction ball-top joystick and buttons, plug-and-play HDTV and USB controller connectivity and high score saving with non-volatile memory.
Included with the purchase of the Food Fight x RepliCade is the arcade machine, the banana-top joystick, three pre-chewed bubble gum wad stickers, the Replica Food Fight Operator’s Manual, a micro USB charge cable, and four mini metal arcade tokens.
