Despite Rumors of Cancelation, Ubisoft Confirms Roller Champions is Here to Stay

Earlier today, a report came out that Ubisoft was planning to cancel Roller Champions. Jeff Grubb discussed the potential cancellation of the game on the XboxEra Podcast, where he said a source confirmed that the game would be canceled after Season 3. Despite the report, Ubisoft released a statement and they have confirmed that Roller Champions is not going to be canceled.

Roller Champions was released few months ago and is still in the first season, called “Disco Fever”. The free-to-play game is called a “social experience” by Ubisoft and has experienced a few issues within the first few months. In their statement, Ubisoft did say that they would be extending the first season. They did not say how long Season 1 would be extended but they are working on a patch that will bring cross-platform invites to the game, along with another patch that will solve other irritants that players have experienced.

On July 22, Ubisoft released a prior statement that outlined some of the improvements that the development team will be working on for the game. Matchmaking improvements, cross-platform invites, and overall game stability were at the top of the list. Ranked experience improvements, skill rating versus rank adjustments, and quit penalties were the next highest, with “keep rolling and grooving” being the final priority.

As Ubisoft continues to improve Roller Champions, fans of the game can expect a few major changes that may change the way they play the game.
