Dragon’s Prophet, an MMORPG from Taiwanese developing studio Runewaker Entertainment, was suited with a totally revamped Mastery system in its Dragon God update. The PC exclusive free-to-play is going through, what was described in a press release to be, “the biggest change in its history.”
The Mastery system is one of the main staples of the iron-clad action-packed adventure. It allows players to learn different skills and specialized ‘masteries’ that, according to the game’s website, bring one’s character into a specialized role.
The improved Mastery system allows users to build their avatar’s efficiency in battle with less restraint than the previous. The update provides several new skills and role enhancements. Players can now go to greater depths in the game, in regards to their combat style and strategies. The previously mentioned release said these styles and strategies grant gamers more specificity in their skill concentration, which grants greater efficiency.
The redone Mastery tree is centric to the weapons provided to each specific class. These weapons take on one of three roles: healer, tank, or damage dealer.
The starter areas –the beginner areas of the game one can choose from– have been tweaked to give players more experience with more aspects of the game. All of these areas have different enemies and details of story for the quest’s start.
Those who reach level 60 or greater have the option to serve under a “Dragon God,” who gives its followers new skills weighted with great power. Also in the update, main story quests will reward the character with higher-tier ‘purple’ gear.
In addition to these gameplay enhancements, fresh cutscenes and tutorials were added to the aforementioned starter areas. These new implementations are meant to give youngblood heroes more insight to the mechanics and flow of gameplay. Starting city, Puretia, in particular, is given more quests to complete. The city Arteicia will now contain a ‘curiosity shop,’ in which players can be given hints to guide them for long-hidden treasures to plunder. Multiple bugs are patched in this update.
