There will be a new update coming out soon for Titanfall 2. Part of the new update will be a new Multiplayer mode called Live Fire. In blog post, Respawn described this 6v6, Pilot-only mode as being “lightning fast” and having a special emphasis on close-quarter combat.
In Live Fire, you have only one minute to take down all enemy fighter pilots. You win by either taking them all down or if your team is able to hold on to a neutral flag until the time runs out. Given that the multiplayer lasts only one minute, it is a best-of-five, meaning that the first team to three wins. There are two maps that are exclusive only to Live Fire. The maps are called Stacks and Meadows; each of them is described as tight, enclosed death boxes.
The Titanfall 2 upgrade will also feature new map for Coliseum mode called Columns, as well as a new Pilot execution animation and new Commander intros for each faction in addition to Live Fire and its two maps.
Similarly to other Titanfall 2 DLCs, the new upgrade is expected to be free. Additional details, along with its specific release date will be reveal soon.
Adding to the new update, Respawn announced that it’s working on a “significant update” to the multiplayer playlist interface. You can see what the multiplayer playlist interface will look like below:
“Our goal is to allow players to create their own ‘mixtapes’ and choose which modes they want to be matched in,” Respawn said about the changes. “Would you like to match in just Attrition, Amped Hardpoint, and Last Titan Standing? Simply select the modes you want and hit play.”
If you do not have Titanfall 2, it is currently available for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
In other Titanfall news, its highly anticipated mobile game Frontline has been canceled.
