New Teaser Uncovered for Upcoming Game from Amnesia Developer

In January, Amnesia developer, Frictional Games, updated their website to include a listing called “Next Frictional Game” under the “games” tab. The listing leads to a separate site titled nextfrictionalgame.com. That same month, Frictional Games released an alternative reality game to lead players on scavenger hunt for clues on their new release. A mysterious video was uncovered that dropped vague hints about the new game. Players have now uncovered another mysterious video with new clues!

The video is shown from a first-person perspective, presumably from the woman, Tasi, heard speaking in the video. She says, “Don’t lose it. No, no, come on. Need to find him. He must understand. I am Tasi. I am still Tasi.” Tasi’s eyes appear to wade between closed and open, and then finally awake when she finishes speaking. A desert-like landscape can be seen, with harsh weather and sandstorm overtaking the landscape. The scene at the end is only shown for about 3 seconds, but there is a good amount to unpack.

In the distance, a bright light can be seen coming from what looks like a cave. The landscape features rocks, which appear crystallized and shiny. This points to another sci-fi game with underground gameplay, much like titles Frictional Games has developed in the past. The rest is vague and leaves a lot of room for speculation from the community. Even the quote is short but introduces a character that will likely be the protagonist in the new game.

The video is from a first-person perspective, so it can lead one to believe that Tasi is the character we’ll play as in the new game. The video also gave us a good amount to hold onto, in terms of genre and art style we can expect. Stay posted for more uncovered clues and updates on this forthcoming release.
