Looks like we won’t have to wait long for some video game festivities to kick off for the month of June. Nintendo has announced that a brand new Pokemon Scarlet and Violet trailer will drop tomorrow at 6:00 AM PDT/9:00 AM PDT. In addition, they will also reveal some new information about the upcoming entry, which will more than likely pertain to the open-world aspect as well as some potential new features that we haven’t seen before. This will be the first of many new reveals for the month of June as it is historically a major reveal month for the video game industry.
This will be the first real look at the Nintendo Switch title since it was initially announced back in February, as well as some more concrete information regarding how it will play. We’re also probably going to see more on the three starters that were shown; Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly, the grass, fire, and water starters respectively. It’s possible that we’ll also find out the game’s actual release date. When Scarlet and Violet were revealed, all we were told at the time was that it would release in late 2022. Given that we are now halfway through the year, there’s definitely a chance that Nintendo will set the game’s launch date in stone and give us all a specific day to look forward to.
Nintendo, and The Pokemon Company in general, have been on an absolute tear this past year, releasing the highly successful Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, and Pokemon Legends: Arceus. Both had major impact on The Pokemon Company’s fiscal year, which once again saw record numbers, and coincided with another massive increase of profits. Nintendo will release the new Pokemon Scarlet and Violet tomorrow at 6:00 AM PDT/9:00 AM PDT on their official YouTube channel.
