The Official Pokémon YouTube Channel recently uploaded a video announcing that a new mythical Pokémon called Marshadow will soon be coming to Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon. The video is scarce on the details and doesn’t even explain how or when players will be able to get the Pokémon, though the video does promise, “more details are coming soon.”
According to Bulbapedia, a well-known encyclopedia of all things Pokémon, Marshadow will be unable to evolve, will be genderless and will be a dual fighting/ghost-type. Bulbapedia also states that Marshadow will have a Z-move called Soul-Stealing 7-Star Strike. It was also confirmed recently via a new trailer on the Pokémon TV YouTube channel that Marshadow will appear in the upcoming movie, Pokémon the Movie 20: I Choose You!, which looks to at least partially re-tell the story of Ash meeting Pikachu in the first episode of the anime. The movie is set to come out in Japan this July.
Though no details have yet been announced on how Marshadow will become attainable in Pokémon Sun and Moon, many fans wonder if it will be similar to how the last mythical Pokémon, Magearna, was made available to players last December. In order to obtain Magearna, players had to first complete the main story in Sun or Moon and then scan a QR code made available on the Pokémon website. The code for Magearna is still available at this link for any of you who have yet to get the mythical Pokémon.
