Most of the Monster Hunter: World trailers we’ve received up until now have showed us a good amount of the vast open environment, massive monsters, and customizable characters. If this wasn’t enough to win fans over the most recent trailer took a different approach to doing so. Instead of showing off the huge beasts roaming the land the trailer focuses on palicos, the friendly cat characters that will serve as your trust companions throughout the game.
These friendly familiar felines will help you out during battles, prepare meals for you, and helping you flee when your in a tough spot. Not only are these companions very useful in within dangerous terrain they are also completely customizable. Players can change the color of their fur, the look of their eyes, as well as dress them up in all kinds of outfits.
Also, there is good news for players that saw the new trailer and got too excited to wait until next month for the game. Capcom has announced that there will be a second beta available for the Playstation 4 starting on December 22 and will run until December 26. And for this beta players will not have to have Playstation Plus to access it this go around and players who took part in the initial beta will not have to go back and re-download the client either.
Along with the announcement of the beta Capcom also confirmed that they will be releasing free DLC along with the game. Monster Hunter: World will be releasing next year for the Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC on January 26.
