New Mega Stone Event Announced for Pokémon Sun and Moon

Today, it was announced on the Pokémon website that there is currently an event that will let players get previously unattainable Mega Stones in Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon. Four Mega Stones are available during this event: Mawilite, Beedrillite, Audinite and Medichamite, which allow Mawile, Beedrill, Audino and Medicham to Mega Evolve respectively.

This event works the same way as the event for Mewtwonite X and Mewtwonite Y from last month. Like Mewtwo, the four Pokémon that you can get Mega Stones for during this event don’t appear in the wild in Pokémon Sun or Moon, so you first have to transfer a Mawile, Beedrill, Audino and/or Medicham from another game into Pokémon Bank and then into Sun or Moon. Items cannot do all this transferring with a Pokémon, so any held items, including Mega Stones, that a Pokémon is holding will be lost during this transition.

Once you have the desired Pokémon in your Sun or Moon game, it’s time to get the Mega Stones. Start up the game, then on the main menu select “Mystery Gift” instead of “Continue.” Next, press “Receive Gift,” then “Get with Code/Password,” then “Yes” and “Yes” again. Then you’ll have to enter the password for this event, which is INTIMIDATE. After entering the code, the four Mega Stones will be received by your game. Now continue your game and speak to the deliveryman in any Pokémon Center and you will receive your Mega Stones. Then you should probably save your game.

Like the Mega Mewtwo event, Pokémon hasn’t announced an end date for this event, so it’s probably a good idea to get these Mega Stones soon before the event unexpectedly ends.
