New Leaked Video Shows Intro Of Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link

When we last saw keyblade wielders of old, fans of the Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ were left in shock to discover the player character would later reincarnate to Xehanort, the main antagonist of the Kingdom Hearts series. It certainly was not what fans were expecting. As this revelation came to light, the ending of Unchained χ showed us the fate of Brain and Ephemer. After the destruction of Daybreak Town, Ephemer founded a new town in its place, Scala ad Caelum. After escaping through time and space bending pod, Brain ended up in this town sometime after Ephemer’s time. While his journey after this is unclear, we know that this version of Scala ad Caelum will be the place Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link will take place. The new mobile game is currently in a closed beta which was only available in Japan. But as reported on THEGAMER, the Reddit user has uploaded on the forum boards new footage of the intro.

The leaked footage shows the Destati sequence also known as Dive into the Heart. This is the area of the game that displays a stained-glass image on top of a tower representing the heart of the characters its displaying. It is also the area of the game that serves as the tutorial of the game as well as when players must chose two out of the three options for abilities, strength, magic and defense. In this leaked footage, the stained-glass image is that of the two former union leaders, Ephemer, Skuld, their companion Chirithy as well as their predecessors. The player then goes to the selection ability portion of the tutorial.

Unlike the previous games, instead of showing a sword, staff and shield, figures of Mickey, Donald and Goofy are present. Players can choose all three in this game. Keyblades then strike the ground around the player until a keyblade choses him and a battle ensues. As per the traditional tutorial battle, the player character is seen fighting a Darkside, a giant pure-blood Heartless. The footage also previews the combat system. Players will touch the screen to navigate their avatar and attack with the keyblade button on the screen. Abilities will be used through the figures on the left side of the screen. The tutorial battle ensues and the character defeats the Heartless.

There hasn’t been any word if there will be a western beta release. For now, fans will just have to see what Tetsuya Nomura has in store for later this year.
