New Launch Trailer for Telltale’s Batman: The Enemy Within

Telltale Games shared today the all-new launch trailer for Batman: The Enemy Within, their upcoming follow-up to last year’s critically-acclaimed Batman: The Telltale Series.  This new trailer marks the beginning of Telltale following through on their promises from their big Summer 2017 Update a few weeks back, and gives us a look into some of the new adversaries and allies Batman will be tangling with in this new season.

In this chapter of Gotham’s story, both Batman and Bruce Wayne will be pushed into new, difficult scenarios to face the challenges before them.  Batman will have to go toe-to-toe with a particularly brutal incarnation of The Riddler, who leaves deadly traps for his victims and delights in carnage.  As he pursues the Riddler, Batman will be caught between two very different allies who seek to aid him in his quest: Commissioner Gordon, the familiar face and protector of Gotham, and Amanda Waller, the ruthless federal agent called in to quell the rising crisis.

At the same time, Bruce Wayne will find himself in difficult situations as he must continue to deceive and manipulate to keep his secret identity hidden from others.  Additionally, Batman: The Enemy Within will see the return of the mysterious John Doe, who fans will recognize as a young Joker, as he becomes an increasingly disturbing presence in the life of Bruce.

As is the signature style of Telltale Games, players will have agency over much of the story in Batman: The Enemy Within; which ally you choose to trust, how you approach The Riddler’s dark and twisted mind, all of this will affect how other characters see you and will alter the story’s progression.

Episode one of Batman: The Enemy Within, “The Enigma,” launches August 8 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.  The series is also expected to go live for mobile devices in early October, available for both iOS and Android devices.
