New Injustice 2 Trailer Out, Confirms Cyborg as New Character

Teen Titans fans, even Teen Titans Go fans can rejoice with the announcement of the next Injustice 2 character. It’s Cyborg, the powerful half man/half machine always down to chill with the lovable shapeshifter Beast Boy.

Cyborg’s debut came in a trailer called Shattered Alliances: Part 1. It starts out with Batman saying that every villain is a hero in their own world via voice over. Then, Batman and Superman are seen talking to each other in a prison. The scene following has Batman and Robin talking. Another scene has Wonder Woman fighting a group of villains with her rope. After that, you see Cyborg fire a shot from his arm cannon, saying “I won’t hurt you unless I have to.” Various heroes and villains are then seen fighting each other. Appearing are Supergirl, Harley Quinn and the Flash. Ending the trailer is Cyborg blasting Superman into a portal with his arm cannon and scene showing Batman and Superman facing off. Superman then grabs Batman by the neck and punches him in the face. The new action-packed Injustice 2 trailer can be seen in its entirety below:

Injustice: Gods Among Us was already a big hit among fans of fighting games, so developer NetherRealm had big shoes to fill. It appears they have answered the call, even teasing an “incredibly dark storyline,” according to ScreenRant. The official synopsis of Injustice 2 reads:

“Injustice 2 is NetherRealm Studios’ super-powered sequel to the hit game Injustice: Gods Among Us that allows players to build and power up the ultimate version of their favorite DC characters. Featuring a massive selection of DC Super Heroes and Super-Villains, Injustice 2 continues the epic cinematic story introduced in Injustice: Gods Among Us as Batman and his allies work towards putting the pieces of society back together while struggling against those who want to restore Superman’s regime. In the midst of the chaos, a new threat appears that will put Earth’s existence at risk.”

Injustice 2 launches on May 16 for PS4 and Xbox One. Along with the console games, there is an official mobile app in production along with an official comic.

I'm a big Pokémon fan, so I'l spend a lot of my time playing that. Other than that, I love sports, particularly the Charlotte Hornets and the Carolina Panthers. No matter how bad the team is, I will always rep them.
