New Horde Mode Added for Gears of War 4; Double XP This Weekend

For this weekend, fans of Gears of War 4’s Horde mode will be getting a first time ever variant to the popular multiplayer challenge. Along with this, players will be able to get double XP when playing the new mode or the old mode, no matter what horde playlist you choose, you’ll get double XP.

In a blog post today The Coalition announced that,”Feral Horde ratchets up the intensity of each wave, changing the composition of each wave to focus more on constant pressure and unrelenting assault. Prepare to move, dodge and scrap your way to victory against new waves filled with hefty amounts of Explosive Trackers, Swarm Grenadiers, DR-1s, Dropshot Scions and more!”

Being the first Horde variation to come to the game, you can be damn sure that its going to be tough. Named Feral Horde, the new Horde variant offers a serious challenge to even the most elite of players, you know, the ones that seem to always kill you the entire match. The game will automatically be set to hardcore difficulty and the only map its playable on is clocktower.

To participate in the event, players will have to first register their Gamertag. This is because whoever is able to stay alive throughout the first 50, 100, and 200 Wave marks, will be given special swarm character skins. Here is a list of what you could potentially get your hands on. Its important to not that these rewards will only be granted to those who register, if you don’t, you won’t get anything.
