New Hearthstone Tavern Brawl Released

There is a new Hearthstone Tavern Brawl out now, called “Gadgetzan Throw-Down.” Just like the title suggests, the game will be mainly about the Gadgetzan crime families.

When you start play, you will get either of the three bosses, being Aya, Kazakus and Don, as well as a deck that comes with that particular family.  Aya’s hero power costs 4 mana and summons a Jade Golem, Kazakus’ is a 2-mana add a random potion to your hand, and Don’s costs 2 mana and gives +2/+2 to a minion in your hand.

The decks are random each time, but the decks will always line up with that the boss’ ability, be it Aya’s Jade Golem, Kazakus’ potions and Don’s minion buffing ability.

In other Hearthstone news, Adrian Koy known as “Lifecoach” has left Hearthstone, supposedly because of RNG. Lifecoach has highly respected in the Hearthstone community. He has won many tournaments on his playing days, ranking as high as No. 9 in the world by GosuGamers. He recently had taken on the role of a mentor for the community. He hosts informative streams and goes through play by play of how to play Hearthstone. He’s also held coaching roles for players Thijs and RDU.

Lifecoach posted a video called “No More RNG Please.” In the video, he talks about the randomness of the meta and the state of the game, as a whole. He explained that even a really good Hearthstone player will only have a 60% win percentage and “if you really, really play bad Hearthstone that day, it doesn’t matter, you still have 50-55% [win percentage].

He even described the current Hearthstone game as a game of “coin flipping with a little bit of strategy,” saying that you can “rotate the coin so that it flies through the air at a specific angle [for a] 10% higher chance” of winning.

You can watch the video below.

Lifecoach now plays Gwent. He says that you won’t lose many games if you play the game perfectly and that you only lose when you blunder.

Bryan Ingram: My name is Bryan. I just graduated from High Point University with a degree in Journalism. I'm 25 and writing has always been a part of my life. I'm a big Pokémon fan, so I'l spend a lot of my time playing that. Other than that, I love sports, particularly the Charlotte Hornets and the Carolina Panthers. No matter how bad the team is, I will always rep them.
