A new twist in fairy tales is being told. Neowiz and Round 8 Studio are currently developing an action adventure role playing game, Lies of P. It is being published by Neowiz games and Fireshine games and is being made using Unreal Engine 4 an 5. In this dark souls-like game, players will journey as Pinocchio. The city of Krat is overrun by trouble and evil. It is overrun by monsters and gangs. In the wake of these issues, Pinocchio receives a letter stating Mr. Geppetto is somewhere in the chaos of the city. He ventures out in search for him. As Pinocchio looks for Geppetto, he also sets out to become human. In order to achieve his goal, He must lie to people for this to happen. Players will journey with Pinocchio as he goes on a journey to look for Mr. Geppetto and become human. NEOWIZ revealed a gameplay trailer were we get a chance to see the first 11 minutes of the game.
We get a demonstration of combat against a standard foe at the beginning. The hack-and-slash mechanic is the combat system of the game. Pinocchio wields a large saber in which he fights off the undead creature with. He also has a sharp gauntlet that can also deal slash damage. Players will explore the vast city of Krat as they make their way through hoards of monsters. Through the Stargazer, people will be able to upgrade their stats, access the weapon enhancement, weapon combination, storagebox and other submenu items.
As players progress through the city, there will be loot boxes for them to search. Upon defeating a larger foe, a new weapon was unlocked for usage. The Last Honor blade can now be selected for usage.
People will have much to look forward to when exploring this game and immersing themselves in the retelling of a fairy tale in a darker and more mature perspective. Lies of P is scheduled to be released later this year and will be available on PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
