New FOAMSTARS Season Content Revealed At January 2024 State of Play

Square Enix revealed more details on its future content for its upcoming online party shooter FOAMSTARS at the latest PlayStation State of Play event. FOAMSTARS will receive Starry Pop, its first free content season when it launches in early February 2024.

New features included in Starry Pop include two limited-time seasonal events, a solo event titled Ranked Party Lonestar and a team event titled Ranked Party Tribe-Vibe. Players that earn enough Rank Points give them access to the Rank-Up Trials.

Additionally, players can try out two new team battle game modes titled Extreme Party. In Extreme Party, players can choose between All Mel T Party, a mode where every player battles as the fighter Mel T, and Invisible Party, a mode where everyone is invisible.

Lastly, players can check out a weekend-only event titled Happy FriYAY Party, where players can try out an upcoming fighter Coiff Guy. A roadmap detailing FOAMSTARS‘ upcoming seasons 2 to 6 was revealed in a separate blog post. According to the post, each season lasts for five weeks, bringing with it new characters, maps, events, and cosmetics.

Every season will include a Season Pass that allows all players immediate access to its new modes and events. That said, players can purchase the Premium Season Pass to unlock new characters and additional season-themed cosmetics for $5.99 USD. FOAMSTARS’ next season launches in March 2024.

FOAMSTARS’ season content will be released alongside its global launch on February 6, 2024, exclusively for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 on PlayStation Plus. A physical release for FOAMSTARS will be available on March 5, 2024, for $29.99 on the PlayStation Store and requires a PlayStation Plus subscription.
