New Details on The Last Of Us Part II Likely to Emerge at Upcoming Event

Details are finally beginning to trickle on through about the next installment of The Last of Us as fans have been patiently waiting for quite some time now. Recently, we discussed that a small snippet of footage was shown at GameStop manager conference giving fans the chance to exhale and look forward to more news on the long-awaited title. All of this still rings ever more true as Naughty Dog has now confirmed they will be holding an event to show off more details on The Last of Us Part II and possibly a release date.

Geoff Keighley recently posted an event flyer on Twitter raising the hype of fans for the upcoming event. It is very brief but seems to give off the impression we should have some good news on the way with the tweet’s enthusiasm. The event will go right along with “Outbreak Day,” . This event is the anniversary of the day the fungal virus spiraled out of control in the world of The Last of Us, September 26.

What is going to be shown at the event is uncertain but it will likely share the same clip that was shown at the GameStop managers conference. The clip showed a quick bit of Ellie using her stealth mechanics and also utilizing a Clicker as a distraction of some kind. Hopefully, this piece of gameplay will be shown to everyone this time around or possibly an even longer demonstration.

Seems like everyone is ready to hear more about The Last of Us Part II and excited fans will only have to wait a couple of weeks to get some fresh details. The event kicks off on September 24 so be sure to keep those eyes peeled as we will be throwing up the latest news right here at MXDWN Games.

Nathan Arquiette: Mom and Dad would never buy me a gaming console growing up, so I bought my own Dreamcast when I was 10 years old. Ever since then my passion for gaming went wild. Why watch a movie or read a book when you can take part in the plot playing a game was my philosophy. "Video games rot your brain" but I had a 10th grade reading level in the 6th grade all thanks to RPG's. Talking and writing about games is something I will never get tired of.
