New Crackdown 3 Gameplay and Details Ahead of Release

Ahead of its release later this month, the many developers of Crackdown 3 have released more gameplay videos. The new footage shows off more on the campaign and multiplayer modes that will be included. Prospective players can check out the first couple of minutes of the campaign and more of a Wrecking Zone Multiplayer mode match below. We previous discussed about how the long-awaited Crackdown 3 will be available to those subscribed to the Xbox Game Pass, as well as the Terry Crews trailer.

While it’s been a long wait since Crackdown 2, there is some concern surrounding the polish and amount of content that will be included in Crackdown 3. In a recent interview with GamesBeat, creative director Joseph Staten talked about the story mode, its design, and length. He stated it trains players on how to play the game and that “Crackdown has a decent menu. Bigger than some, not as big as others. If you want to play by yourself or with a close friend, if you just want to have a relaxing story experience, great.” Staten continues in saying that Crackdown 3 will “have this really cool fifteen-hour-plus campaign.” Some fans of Crackdown and Xbox exclusives are concerned that after an almost nine-year wait that a fifteen-hour campaign seems a little lackluster.

The campaign may be on the short side, but there is hope in the release with the other content that will be included at launch. Players can look forward to playing alone or with friends, and the Wrecking Zone multiplayer that has fans hopeful about the competitiveness. Staten also says that there are “21 agents to choose from, 10 women and 11 men, one of whom is Terry Crews.” Each agent will be different in a class sense with unique abilities and sets of skill leveling bonuses, which is a first for the Crackdown franchise.

Crackdown 3 is coming to the Xbox One, Xbox One X, and PC February 15.
