New Co-op Action Game Showed Off at EA Play

While not exactly E3, EA hosted their own event in which they showcased some of their new games as well as holding a press conference before all the E3 festivities begin. One of the topics gone over was about a new game in development featuring some Co-op gameplay called A Way Out.

The unique thing about A Way Out is the fact that it will be a co-op only game, meaning you must play with someone else. The game’s premise is set around two escaped convict brothers who are going to try their hardest to evade the police and anyone else trying to look for them. Players will have the option of either playing local or online campaign. During the press conference their was an instance where player one was driving a getaway car while the second player was shooting out of the back.

The game appears to be set around 30 years ago and will challenge players to evade the police from finding them while their past entanglements come back to haunt them.

The game is set to arrive in “Early” 2018, meaning that it doesn’t have an official release date yet. The game is being developed by Hazelight, with this game marking the first release since the company was founded in 2014. The developers chose to follow a story that is more on the end of a darker storyline opposed to the common core adventure storyline.

Stay tuned as we continue to cover the top stories coming out of EA Play and E3. Click here to see what the first day of EA Play had to offer.
