New Cleaner Menu For PS4 And Xbox One Versions Of Battlefield 4

The recent update for Battlefield 4 on the consoles has introduced a cleaner menu interface. This interface is Dice’s first attempt at creating a unified interface across all Battlefield games. These changes are a part of a 4 gb patch which was mainly aimed towards updating the menu so that it will make it easier for players to enter the multiplayer menu.

GameSpot went through these new menu changes and found that the “menus are much easier to read at a glance thanks to big icons and distinct white text, while tabs scrolled through using shoulder buttons make navigation a bit quicker.” With this easier navigation, it will allow players to join online games easier, and it will allow players to have an easier way of adapting to different Battlefield games since the menus will now be pretty much identical. One big change was the removal of Battlelog and the addition of a new menu that allows players to quickly change in between the different Battlefield games.

EA has confirmed that Battlefield 1 will get this new menu system right when it is released, but Battlefield Hardline will not be getting it until a little later. Battlefield 1 will be out in stores on October 21st. For Battlefield 1, there will be a Premium pass which will include early access to new multiplayer maps, four expansions, and new weapons, dog tags, and skins that come in the expansions. There will be an Ultimate Edition for $130 that will include everything in the Deluxe edition and the Premium pass, but the Collector’s edition will include a bunch of cool collector items for the price of $220 but will not include the Premium Pass.
