New Challenger Moon Update for Lethal Company

The game Lethal Company just got it’s first update of the year. Following the “Frosty” update, this new update includes re-playable challenge moons and some other patches. It also got rid of some of the special Christmas items, turning the game back to it’s normal self. This update is a smaller update ahead of Version 50 which will include “new creatures and map variations.”

Challenger Moons are re-playable moons that are the same for everyone and occur weekly. These moons allow players to compare each other’s daily profits. They will have random amounts of scrap and other random quirks. The developer doesn’t want these moons to be about competing for the highest total profit, but as a way for people to have a shared experience. In order to have the same experience as everyone else, the developer asks that players turn off all of their mods to prevent interference.

Other smaller changes include tags for public lobbies and a new hallway in the factory map. Some enemies had some of their fighting abilities changed. The “Thumper” was reworked to be more consistent and will speed up slightly when it gets hit. The bunker spiders also become slightly faster when they are close to being dead and their webs have a higher collision radius. The bunker spider’s file in the journal entry was also updated to fix continuity issues. Other enemies were updated with minor fixes.

There were multiple other fixes in this update with the random bugs that have been found with the new game items from last update. Since that last update, Lethal Company won the “Better with Friends” Steam Award. With the newest update already gaining attention, a recent post showed how many people have already died to the new challenger moon this week. This update is sure to provide more challenge for this game.
