New Catherine: Full Body Trailer Shares Release Date & Pre-Order Incentives

Atlus has announced when Catherine: Full Body will be coming to the West. The game was released in Japan today, with a trailer that reveals what new things will be coming to the game as well as what bonus goods you’ll get if you pre-order a special version of the game.

Catherine: Full Body is a remaster of Catherine, which was originally released in 2011 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The story revolves around Vincent, who has gotten himself into a very serious situation. He has a girlfriend named Katherine but has found himself in another relationship with a woman named Catherine. Furthermore, young men throughout the town have been found dead under strange and mysterious circumstances. The rumored cause is a curse that befalls adulterers such as Vincent. The game goes back and forth between making decisions and following the story with puzzle platforming as the central gameplay mechanic.

Earlier this year, Catherine Classic was released, which is a PC port of the game. Catherine Classic offers  4k resolution, an unlocked framerate, and the option to play the game in either English or Japanese.

What makes Catherine Full Body different from the original game and the PC port is the inclusion of another woman named Rin. In addition to the new character, other new features will be coming to the game. Like Catherine Classic, you can play the game in either English or Japanese, with the addition of Rin meaning that new story content will be in the game such as new endings, puzzles, and more.

There are two editions available for pre-order. The Launch Edition will include a limited edition metal case. The Heart’s Desire Premium Edition comes with the metal case, a collector’s box, the soundtrack, a hardcover art book, and a sheep plush. Both editions are available to pre-order now.

Catherine Full Body will release in America and Europe on September 3, 2019. The game is only available for the PlayStation 4.
