Activision has just released new content for the First Person Shooter Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. The new content comes from the Operation Dark Divide Update and it has several interesting features that it adds to Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. According to the Activision Games Blog, the new update adds several weapons, a new mode of playing for Blackout, a new perk, and several items.
The first piece of added content is the game mode, Heavy Metal Heroes. Heavy Metal Heroes focuses on vehicle based combat between players and allows players to use motorcycles, ARAVs, ATVs, as well as a brand new vehicle added in this update. The second piece of added content is the addition of several weapons to the game. The first weapon added is everyone’s favorite armored vehicle, a tank. It can take up to two people inside it with a driver, and a passenger who mans the cannon. In order to access the tank, players must either find it on the map or use a flare gun in order to call it to the player’s location.
The Dark Divide update has also added two weapons from Zombies Mode: the Savage Impaler and Winter’s Fury. The Savage Impaler is a crossbow that players could initially unlock in the map of Dead of the Night. The Winter’s Fury is a gun that produces a savage freeze to stop hordes of enemies in their tracks. The Dark Divide update also adds two new elixirs called Secret Shopper which allows players to purchase ammunition for any weapon at any wall buy location, and Power Vacuum, which increases the spawn rate for power-ups for five minutes. Another addition to Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is the Blaze Phase. The Blaze Phase is a perk that allows players to transform into a fireball and raze your enemies.
Players who have purchased the Black Ops Pass are able to access the final chapter in the Zombies Aether Storyline; Tag Der Toten. This chapter follows the Invictis Crew as they go to the frozen wastes of Siberia to combat zombies. The Dark Divide also adds a two new maps to the standard multiplayer known as Lair and “Launch”. The first map is a volcanic island with a laser that players can use to set their foes ablaze. The second map “Launch” is a redone version of the original Launch map from Call of Duty: Black Ops. These updates are available now for PlayStation 4, with Xbox One, and PC versions to come soon.
