In a new Release date trailer yesterday, Neverway’s developers announced that the long anticipated game will be released October 2026 on Steam and Nintendo Switch. Additionally, as a treat, the developers have added a prologue of the game on Steam which is available to play!

The Release date trailer opens with a jump scare of Fiona’s face, a train arriving and a monstrous creature opening its mouth for Fiona to come in. The trailer switches to Fiona walking in a normal house layout, before walking through a floating building with sculls on the side, and some kind of monstrous cavern, with living walls that are trying to swallow her. Fiona is shown in a bathtub before she glitches and a blond woman on a throne with blob monsters fills the screen. 

In a very quick montage, farming mechanics, other gaming systems like chess, parts of the town, and a giant egg, with arms reaching out to Fiona, is revealed. The montage ends with Fiona in a bar styled building discussing with an npc, that “Things are finally back to normal” before an overlay of a woman covered with bandages, and a dead monster at her feet flashes over the screen, who breaks part of a lab to get to Fiona. The trailer plays the words “A NIGHTMARISH LIFE- SIM RPG,” before properly entering the mechanics of the game.

Fiona is seen fishing at a waterfall, choosing options to answer npc questions, cut scenes with human looking creatures, drinking tea with npc’s and building relationship meters. The trailer turns black once more, notifying viewers that the, “PIXEL ARTIST OF CELESTE,” helped in this project. Then jumping into scenes of Fiona riding a scooter through the woods with hidden monsters following her, Fiona riding on a motorcycle with another npc and fighting monstrous birds, then finally Fiona’s home. From there, Fiona looks through a peephole at multiple npc characters designs at her door, until she moves away. 

The trailer turns black for a third time showing “MUSIC FROM DISASTERPEACE,” delving into a monster firing a blast at Fiona that she runs to avoid, cutscenes between Fiona and Luna who orders her to kill three monsters. Fiona falling into water and attacking humanlike creatures, before standing at a platform with another npc as a giant human head with elf ears comes to look at them. Fiona is shown bloody and holding a sword,  then she is seen getting attacked by two different creatures before she “wakes up.” Neverway promises some very hefty gameplay and storylines, and seems to be a unique and exciting figure to the Life RPG world.
