NETGEAR Expands its Gen.G eSports Sponsorship to Cover All Teams with Quality Networking

The gold standard of Gen.G eSports has been set relatively high for the esports scene. To raise the bar even higher for this, NETGEAR, one of Gen.G’s official sponsors, will be expanding the sponsorship to all of the Gen.G esport teams.

This recent announcement comes as one of many increasing benefits for the players of Gen.G eSports. The new company-wide sponsorship will come with a new slew of benefits that will help these players continue to have the best quality of life for playing competitive video games. This sponsorship will provide players with high-quality Nighthawk networking routers as well as LAN switches. With a top-of-the-line router, players will not need to worry about encountering lag whilst playing online, and a LAN switch will ensure that players who are playing in house will not have issues with bandwidth.

“NETGEAR is thrilled to continue our partnership with Gen.G and to now include the entire roster of premier teams. This is the ideal alliance for Nighthawk Pro Gaming to align with the community that will benefit most from the high-performance hardware and game-specific software which enhance the online game-play experience,” says Heidi Cormack, senior vice president of global marketing at NETGEAR, in a press release. “Gen.G’s passion and dedication to building a successful global esports organization makes them an ideal partner to engage the gaming community.”

These new helpful tools will be used to help players currently in the League of Legends Champions Korea, AfreecaTV PUBG League, The Overwatch League, and more benefits for players in other games are to come. This would even include Gen.G’s latest signed team for Clash Royale, which is currently competing in the China Clash Royale League.

I am sure many of us have been frustrated with poor internet, or random connection issues, and some of us might not even realize the importance of having good internet for competitive gaming. This small, yet huge, quality of life assurance once again just goes to show how series Gen.G is about providing their players with the best everything really.

“Gen.G teams and players are among the most competitive, talented and professional in the esports industry,” states Kevin Chou, CEO and co-founder of Gen.G. “Expanding our sponsorship with NETGEAR opens all kinds of new opportunities for our organization. We plan to utilize NETGEAR’s high-performance gear to set the Gold Standard for premier esports competition, entertainment and fan engagement.”

With so many helpful benefits and strides towards raising the bar for esports players, we wonder not only what Gen.G will do next, but how other organizations will follow suite.
