Publisher NCSOFT and developer Vic Game Studios have opened sign-ups for the Limit Zero Breakers Prologue Test, a closed test scheduled to run from June 10 through June 15, 2026, on PC (Steam), Android, and iOS. Sign-ups close June 2, 2026 at 6:00 AM PDT through the official website. Limit Zero Breakers is an anime-style action RPG, listed on Steam as free-to-play with in-app purchases. There is no release date as of yet. Participants will be drawn at random from those who apply. NCSOFT has noted that users who already signed up for the previously announced Closed Beta are automatically rolled into the Prologue Test pool. The studio has cautioned that the test build is still in development, and that server instability, bugs, and maintenance are possible during the test window. NCSOFT’s English Prologue Test notice opens with the tagline “They never meant to be heroes.”
Participants will experience the opening stretch of the story along with combat content against five boss raid encounters. Eleven characters are selectable for the test, each with a separate combat style intended to support different team compositions. Limit Zero Breakers is set across the floating islands of Seraphia, where the protagonists, known as Breakers, travel aboard the airship Weaverwhale on a journey toward the Archives of the Gods, an in-universe vault legend says can grant any wish. NCSOFT’s narrative framing is focused on a Breaker girl whose path crosses with that of a boy with no memory aboard the Weaverwhale.
Combat revolves around timing-based dodges, parries, and counters. Break Mode, the studio’s name for its finisher system, triggers a cinematic sequence at the end of a successful combo. Elemental reactions are also part of combat mechanics, with combinations between different elements producing skill chains. Boss raids offer three-player co-op, with parties combining their abilities against larger encounters tied to the secrets of Seraphia.
The Japanese press release, distributed May 14, 2026, names KADOKAWA as the Japanese marketing partner alongside developer Vic Game Studios and publisher NCSOFT. The same release explains that the “Prologue” naming refers to the test offering players a pre-release entry point to the world before the main story begins, and that feedback gathered during the window will be applied to development ahead of official launch. Prologue Test trailers were released in English, Japanese, and Korean. Limit Zero Breakers on Steam supports English, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, and Korean text, with Japanese as the only voiced audio.
Sign-ups for the Prologue Test are open through the Limit Zero Breakers official website, with the Steam page also live for wishlisting.
