Nadir Comes To Kickstarter April 29

Indie game developer and publisher Shockwork games will be launching their new game Nadir on Kickstarter on April 29. The game is planned to be released onto Steam, GOG, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. If the game reaches its stretch goal it will also be ported to the PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The core of Nadir is already finished but the Kickstarter is to help make sure that the game remains independent. Nadir is a rogue-like JRPG drawing heavy influence from Dantes Divine Tragedy.

In Nadir, players will fight through the multiple layers of the hellish city of Nadir with an assembled team of three powerful sins. The game has a unique take on turn-based combat by having the start of the enemies turn determined by a Threat Counter. Each of the character’s abilities will lower the Threat Counter by a different amount, requiring the player to use timing and strategy to conquer their enemies. Nadir will feature modding support allowing other players to add even more twisted content to the game.

The Kickstarter campaign for Nadir will launch on April 29. The game features multiple stretch goal rewards with the first being at 44k where additional skills and items will be added, 55k where voice actors will be hired to voice the sins, 65k where tarot cards with global modifiers are added, 100k brings a new game expansion where players will be able to conquer the heavens, and finally at 120k where the game will be ported to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. Those who are interested in the game are currently able to wishlist in on Steam in order to be notified when it finally releases.
