Muv-Luv and Muv-Luv Alternative Will Be Ported To Mobile By The End Of The Year

Muv-Luv and Muv-Luv Alternative, the visual novels that inspired Attack on Titan, have been announced for iOS and Android devices during their anniversary event! The game is not going to be built from the ground up but instead will be ported to fit mobile platforms.

Muv-Luv is a trilogy series developed by Âge. The three parts are Muv-Luv Extra, Muv-Luv Unlimited, and Muv-Luv Alternative. The first two parts take the form of a high school romantic comedy and coming of age story. The third part is just as long as the first two parts combined, but it takes a 90 degree turn into a sci-fi alien invasion narrative. The Muv-Luv trilogy moves across genres in a really unique way that has made it famous for its exciting and engaging plot. The player’s decisions throughout the game will affect how the narrative of the main characters plays out much like a choose your own adventure game.

For those who are unfamiliar with the term, a visual novel is an interactive narrative game genre that usually takes place in the anime art style. Muv-Luv and its sequel are rated as some of the best interpretations of this genre that you can play. It was released on Windows back in 2003 and has since then been adapted in English and released on Steam. Since then, the game has received overwhelmingly positive reviews.

Muv-Luv has been said to have an incredible plot that is riddled of plot twists and ideas that connect from start to finish. The full plot summary as will appear on mobile is available here on Steam for those that are thinking about playing the Muv-Luv series. For a visual representation of the art style, you can check out the video below. The exact release date for mobile has not yet been officially announced, but Âge has promised that it will be out before the end of the year.
