Monster Hunter: World took the gaming world by storm when it came out back in late January of this year for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. With an addictive formula, alongside it’s equally fantastic and addicting gameplay, Capcom had unleashed a true monster for fans, old and new, to sink their teeth into. And now, at long last, PC gamers can finally get their claws in this as well. Capcom has officially announced that Monster Hunter: World will be coming out for PC, through Steam, on August 9. That’s right, less than four weeks away!

Many speculated that the game wouldn’t come out until sometime in the Fall of this year, however it appears that Capcom has decided to let loose the ravenous beast upon the PC gaming world earlier than anticipated. Steam has a put up new page up for Monster Hunter: Worlds, which you can check out here. Steam also has the PC Requirements for those who want to make sure their current RIG can run the game, although after a quick look, most current gaming computers should not have a problem running it.
In addition, if you pre order the game through Steam, you’ll get some nice bonuses, such as the Origin Armor Set, which is a throwback for nostalgic Monster Hunter fans, as well as the Fair Wind Charm, an item that increases your overall attack and has a chance of reducing damage that you’ll take. If your looking for more to start with, then you can also pre order the Digital Delux Edition, which includes The Samurai Set, a special armor that has you take on the appearance of a feudal Japanese Samurai, three unique ninja gestures, two special sticker sets, Wyvern face paint, and a topknot hairstyle. Steam has this version at a reduced price for the time being, currently set at $70.48.
While all of this news is exciting, it’s important to note that this will be the Monster Hunter team’s first crack at developing a game for the PC. Previous games that Capcom have released for PC were not received as well as their console counterparts, especially when it came to Street Fighter V, specifically the online matchmaking system. Monster Hunter: World is all about playing online, so don’t be surprised if their are a few hiccups when it releases. Despite that, it looks like Capcom is fully commited to making the PC version a must have for players around the world, and we won’t be waiting long to find out.
