Monster Hunter Stories, the next installment in the Monster Hunter series will officially release in the US on September 8. Even though the full game is only a little under a month away, players who would like to jump into the game early can play the demo which will allow them to experience the early part of the game. The demo is currently available in the 3DS Eshop. Contrary to the other titles in the series, Monster Hunter Stories will be a turn based RPG, and will hold a more colorful, artistic toon style instead of its usual realistic graphics and monster designs.Players will play as a Monster Rider. Their goal will be to collect and hatch monsters rather than hunting them down.
Players will be able to use all the different monsters that they catch throughout the game to form teams. These teams in turn will be able to unleash “powerful combo attacks” in battle. This demo differs from other demos on the 3DS platform because it will allow players to play through the first few hours of the new game. Anyone who decides to buy the full game when it releases will also have the option to transfer their saved data over from the demo. This will include all the monsters that the player will have collected thus far. Monster Hunter XX also has a demo available for the Nintendo Switch, however it is only available in Japanese. The series newest more traditional installment into the series, Monster Hunter: World will be releasing for the Playstation 4 and Xbox one earl 2018.
