Monster Hunter Rise Ver 2.0 Update Announced for April 28

Earlier today during a Twitch broadcast, Capcom announced the release for the Monster Hunter Rise Ver 2.0 update will be coming to players tomorrow. During the trailer, the developers outlined all the new exciting features, quests, monsters, and DLC that will now be available in the game with the update.

Since the game’s release in March, in only two weeks, the game sold over 5 million copies with the number continuing to grow. The game is currently available for the Nintendo Switch and will be available for PC sometime in 2022. The video showed several additions to the game from armor to monsters and more as players progress past the level cap. Those who achieve the higher ranks will be able to access “layered armor” that can be forged with the Smithy, and armor will have higher upgrade level caps for further improvement. Even Palicoes and Palamutes will have “layered armor” and higher-level caps the more you level up.

For players who have not quite yet maxed out their rank, there are still plenty of things to look forward to. There will be new hair and character customizations such as different voices from which players can choose. However, to change character appearance, players will need to get a voucher from the Nintendo eShop. In addition, there will be more story elements with new monsters and quests. These monsters include some of the hardest monsters to fight against such as the camouflaging Chameleos, Apex Rathalos, Apex Diablos, and elder dragons.

The update is free and will be available at midnight later tonight. Capcom has also announced that they are already working on more updates for the game. For more information about the update, check out the Monster Hunter Rise official website.
