Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak Sells Over Five Million Units Worldwide

Capcom fans around the world have come together to celebrate the Monster Hunter franchise. As of now, it was reported that Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak has sold over 5 million unit copies worldwide from the Switch and PC ports. Monster Hunter Rise first came out back in 2021 for the Nintendo Switch and has sold over 11 million copies when initially released. And now, it’s expansion pack Sunbreak has also toppled the sales chart. Due to the continued success of this game, the developers had this message to share with fans.

 

Sunbreak takes place after the rampage. Fiorayne explains how she came to Kamura looking for help to bring peace back to Elgado. Now players face off against new opponents, the Three Lords. So for these harder challenges and additional quests, to celebrate the occasion, players were given gifts to use in game which will be helpful for many, especially to new players. Last year, it was announced that Monster Hunter Rise will be available to all modern ports. Now players eagerly awaiting to play the game  will soon be able to be a part of the celebration. So for those wanting to explore harder challenges, or a new players to the series, now is a great time to pick up the game if you haven’t in a while. Monster Hunter Rise is slated to be released on all modern platforms January 20th, 2023.
