Bellring Games took the stage during the Gamescom Xbox broadcast to reveal Mistfall Hunter BETA 3, the next major chapter in its dark fantasy action extraction RPG. Arriving this September on Steam, the latest beta brings players back to the Gyldenmist with a new hub, class path, boss, and long-awaited customization options, according to a press release.
Following our previous coverage of Mistfall Hunter, it’s been revealed that the game will be set in a world where the gods have perished and only fragments of hope remain. Mistfall Hunter has built a reputation for its haunting atmosphere and high-stakes gameplay. BETA 3 expands on that foundation with the debut of the Camp, an explorable hub where Gyldhunters prepare for battle and uncover new layers of story. It serves as the first stop in every run, featuring NPCs that handle quests, gear upgrades, auctions, and party formation before players summon Soekja’s boat and descend once more into the mist.
The update also adds the Blasphemer Seer class path, a brutal offshoot of the Seers who reject the Goddess of Light. Blasphemer Seers wield maces infused with elemental devastation and channel their suffering into explosive burst damage and savage flanking strikes, offering a punishing new style of close-quarters combat. They will need every advantage possible against General Harald, a new Mist Lord and former hero of Brandrgarde, whose failed attempt to stop the Gyldenmist has left him twisted and unrelenting. Only the boldest Gyldhunters will survive the fight and claim his treasures.
Another highly requested feature arrives with playable female characters for all five core classes: Sorcerer, Black Arrow, Shadowstrix, Mercenary, and Seer. The beta introduces the first wave of customization options as well, giving players greater freedom to define their identities in the Age of Corrosion. All of the content can be seen in the trailer, with each class showing off unique animations, sound design, and class abilities.
Fans will have a chance to go hands-on with an early build of BETA 3 at PAX West. Bellring Games will be on the show floor at Arch Level 4 Booth 617 with behind-the-scenes previews and playable demos. For those not attending, playtest registration for the September beta is already open on the game’s official Steam page, with early sign-ups increasing the odds of access. Returning players from earlier tests can rejoin with their existing Steam accounts, and the game remains available to wishlist on Steam with updates shared through the official site and Discord.
Mistfall Hunter is currently in development for Steam, Xbox and the Microsoft Store. With BETA 3, Bellring Games is pushing its grim world further than ever, inviting players to fight, loot and extract once again when the Gyldenmist calls this September.
