Mirador Will Let Players Fight And Create In-Game Bosses

There aren’t many modern day games out on the market that include direct player design that other players can experience. A couple of rare exceptions are Fortnite with The Block and games developed by Media Molecule like Little Big Planet. The folks at Sauropod Studio are hoping to amp up the unique creative elements that players can give others when it comes to action and major battles with Mirador.

Mirador’s development is taking it in the direction of a cooperative or solo hack-and-slash title that is played online. Players will control “cute, anthropomorphic animals from a late medieval world trapped in Mirador.” This world is one of danger and aliens that was discovered after traveling through a portal that only took you one way. The futuristic setting will challenge these fighting, advanced animals with powerful war-machines that only knows how to destroy with constantly-changing move sets and configurations. In order to find a way back through the portal, there is only one thing to do: fight.

The unique, creative aspect of Mirador is that while players’ primary goal will be to take down as many bosses, called Sentinels, as possible they also need to design their own. Players will be able to bring back loot from battle for their character and to improve their customized Sentinel boss that others will fight against. The more Sentinels defeated and the more challenging their difficulty, the better the loot will drop to upgrade. Surviving enough perilous Sentinels may yield very rare artifacts, though players could play it safe and end their boss runs to return the loot that they have acquired up until that point since dying risks losing all loot gains that could improve skills and Sentinel setups.

Mirador has no set release date as its Steam page simply states “Soon!” However, the developer’s Kickstarter page is picking up the pace, which will obviously help in the game’s completion.
