Microsoft Flight Simulator Launches August 18, Will be Available on Xbox Game Pass for PC

The newest iteration of Microsoft Flight Simulator will officially launch for PC on August 18. In addition, the game will also be available to those subscribed to the Xbox Game Pass for PC. On top of that, the game will come in three separate editions, each with their own pricing and content. The game has been going through some alpha testing in the past couple of months, and it looks like the studio has received enough feedback to facilitate an official launch.

The three version is as follows. First is the Standard Edition which comes with the base game as well as 20 different planes and 30 unique airports. This version will be available for $59.99 and will also be apart of the Xbox Games Pass for PC service. The second version is the Deluxe Edition which comes with an additional 5 planes and airports along with the aforementioned content from the Standard Edition. This version will cost $89.99. The third and final version is the Premium Deluxe Edition and comes with everything in the previous versions plus 10 extra planes and airports which costs $119.99.

Microsoft Flight Simulator will include a dynamic day and night cycle, a first for the series. In addition, the weather will also change during flight as well as being able to see actual traffic on the ground below which includes different type of animals. Some of the new mechanics also include a checklist system for when you’re about to takeoff in your aircraft. This will scale depending on the difficulty, whereas beginners will have a type of guidance system to assist them and pro players will get little to nothing when taking off.

Microsoft Flight Simulator will officially launch on August 18 for PC through Microsoft Windows with the Standard Edition being available for the Xbox Games Pass for PC. You can check out each version as well as pre-download the game here.
