During today’s Meta Connect keynote, several announcements were made for Gaming. Following the success of games such as BONELAB, setting the record as the fastest-selling app in Meta Quest history, Zenith: The Last City, and Resident Evil 4, Meta and Oculus have revealed what’s on the horizon. Iron Man VR was announced coming to Meta Quest in November along with Among Us VR. A release window was revealed for The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners – Chapter 2: Retribution as well as a new project from developer Skydance Interactive. Microsoft announced that Xbox Cloud Gaming will be available on the Meta Quest Store in the future.
Meta and Microsoft announced new partnership to deliver immersive experiences for the future of work and play. Mesh for Microsoft Teams, Microsoft 365 apps, and Windows 365 will be available on Meta Quest devices. Microsoft Intune and Azure Active Directory will support the new Meta Quest Pro and Meta Quest 2.
Plus, Microsoft and Meta will be bringing Xbox Cloud Gaming to the Meta Quest Store. Xbox Cloud Gaming enables players to stream hundreds of high-quality games to a range of devices. When Cloud Gaming launches on the Meta Quest Store, players can hook up their Xbox controller to their headset and play console games from the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate library on a massive 2D screen.
Developer Camouflaj has joined Oculus Studios alongside Twisted Pixel, developers of Wilson’s Heart, Path of the Warrior and Armature Studio, the team behind Resident Evil 4 on Meta Quest 2. With that, Oculus is bringing Marvel’s Iron Man VR to Meta Quest 2 on November 3, 2022. The game originally launched on PlayStation VR in 2020. In Marvel’s Iron Man VR, players can take to the skies in Tony Stark’s iconic Iron Man armor. Travel the world and face off against Ghost, a hacker with a dangerous drone army and a mysterious connection to Tony’s past.
Among Us VR is set to launch for Meta Quest 2 on November 10. The game is a reimagined first-person version of Among Us. Work together with your crewmates to keep The Skeld II sailing through space or betray everyone, claim that you didn’t do it, and hope the crew throws someone else out the airlock.
The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners – Chapter 2: Retribution is set to launch this December. The team behind the combat of The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners also revealed a new project they’ve been working on in secret.
The new game from Skydance Interactive is called Behemoth. The game is being built from the ground up to showcase everything the studio’s learned about what it means to fight for survival in VR.
