Mayhem Comes To Fortnite In New Limited Time Event With Borderlands

Epic Games has announced a new limited-time event crossover with Borderlands. In Fortnite X Mayhem, “inhabitants of Pandora have found their way to Fortnite, and they have brought with them the planet’s characteristic mayhem. Starting today until September 10, shoot and loot your way through the Pandora Rift Zone, take on themed challenges for free rewards, and pick up the Psycho Bundle from the shop.

The Pandora Rift Zone comes with a unique bonus part of the Borderlands series. Surviving long enough in the Zone without taking damage will generate Shield, similar to the shield mechanic of the Borderlands games. There are also other surprises for players to discover when havoc occurs in Pandora. You can create your own Pandora using new Prefabs in Fortnite Creative. You can change up the look of your location using the new camera filter. If you share your creation by September 6, you can get a chance to be featured on The Block. A new item is also coming to Fortnite. The Shield Bubble creates a large bubble that blocks projectiles and explosives but players are still able to run through it. You can read what’s new in Fortnite in the latest patch notes.

The Psycho Bundle features Claptrap as a backpack you can travel with on your back. There is also a free Welcome to Pandora Challenge Bundle that has rewards such as the Mayhem Wrap, Vault Hunter Banner, Psycho Spray, and Crunk Bunny Spray.

This is the first limited-time event for Season X of Fortnite which came at the beginning of the month. One of the newest additions of the season was the B.R.U.T.E. which is a mech that two players can operate. The new season also introduced Missions which allow players to unlock rewards by completing a series of thematic objectives that will send you on adventures all across the island. The timing of the event also leads up to the release of Borderlands 3 which comes out three days later after Fortnite X Mayhem concludes.
