Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel has taken popularity since its initial release last year. For all Yu-Gi-Oh players, this is a great option to play if you do not play the TCG physically or attend in-person tournaments. Even though all the cards are online and its easier for duelists to obtain cards that would normally be difficult and pricey to acquire. Konami gives out free starter decks upon completing story mode quests. The company also gives players the opportunity to shop for online packs as well as crafting specific cards with materials. As new cards are put into circulation, it is also the developer’s responsibility to keep a balance in the game. As such, Master Duel Meta has leaked the new forbidden and limit list.
A new Forbidden & Limited List has been announced for Yu-Gi-Oh! MASTER DUEL – going live on February 6th 2023!

The most notable cards from the forbidden and limit list is without a doubt the ban on Union Carrier and Toadally Awesome.
Union Carrier has become a staple in multiple combos. One example of a combo would be locking your opponent from special summoning from the extra deck. When you Link summon Union Carrier, you can take Dragon Buster Destruction Sword and equip it to a monster of the same attribute to use the card’s effect. While Dragon Buster Destruction Sword card ruling says to target 1 “Buster Blader” monster, Union Carrier lets you cheat out this condition, making this a formidable combo to play against.
Toadally Awesome is troublesome for some players. This card gives players the ability to negate card effects, destroy them then set it on the controller’s side of the field. This is an effective method at disrupting combos. On top of that, this card lets players summon a frog monster at the cost of XYZ material.
The complete list of the forbidden and limit list can be found here. These changes are scheduled to take effect February 06, 2023. Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel is available on all modern platforms.
