Bethesda’s Fallout 4 has been available since 2015, and like all other titles in their library, had been modded into oblivion by fans all over the world. However, the most ambitious mod for the title has yet to see the light of day, and now we know when we’ll finally be able to get our hands on it. Fallout London, an official fan-made Fallout 4 experience that has been in the works for years by Team FOLON, is finally set to be released next year on April 23.
In this new mod, players will be able to explore a post-apocalyptic version of what is called The Big Smoke in the very much destroyed London. As this is a mod of Fallout 4, the gameplay is exactly like the base title. However, this mod acts almost like a complete spin-off, with a brand new story, factions, and setting. The team even released a trailer, over 13 minutes in length no less, showing footage of the mod, all of which makes us very excited to re-download Fallout 4 for this.
Team FOLON also mentions that the April release date is actually a delay, as they were planning on bringing the mod to us much sooner. Due to some bugs and issues, as well as wanting to do some more testing, the team decided to make the actual release a bit later into 2024. The mod has been described as “the largest mod for Fallout 4 to date,” and will include robotic pigeons, mutated badgers, custom weapons, and all of the classical London locations, albeit in a post-nuclear setting. Fallout London is set to release next year on April 23, 2024.
