In Marvel’s Spider-Man, one of the suits that were added later that you can play around in was Peter’s suit from the movie, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Today, PlayStation and Insomniac Games revealed that the Miles Morales suit from the movie will be available to pick from and play within Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. Taking things a little further from the first game, Miles Morales’s Spider-Verse suit actually follows how the suit moved in the movie and adds some comics flare with the pop-up words and little burst cards that were also present in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
Justin K. Thompson, production designer, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse talked about bringing in the suit to the game. “The way Insomniac brought the iconic suit designed for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse into the game is visually stunning and remarkable. We were able to advise on some of the unique design elements that made the film so distinct, like how we often animated the characters on twos and we made recommendations for how best to integrate the pop-up words and little burst cards on the screen, into the action sequences.”
James Stevenson, Community Director, Insomniac Games also revealed that the special animation that makes the suit move as it does is a suit mod tied with the Into the Spider-Verse suit called Vibe the Verse. Players can equip it and it can be moved and attached to all of the other suits.
Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales launches with the PlayStation 5 on November 12. If you pre-order the game, you can get access to the Into the Spider-Verse suit early. The suit is available for everyone to unlock. The game costs $49.99. The Ultimate Edition of Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales costs $69.99 and comes with Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered.
