With the new Marvel’s Avengers game coming out on September 4 of this year, many new development updates are coming into the game and the most recent one has to do with America’s favorite hero. Marvel’s Avengers announced they gave Captain America, Steve Rogers, new and improved abilities for the anticipated game.
One of Crystal Dynamics’ Lead Combat Designer, Vince Napoli answers questions on Reddit about the Marvel’s Avengers to show what is to come with Captain America’s abilities. Vince stated that “Captain’s wall run is a set distance, but being able to chain them together by jumping back and forth, double jumping, pole swinging, etc. make it really friendly. A well-timed double jump off a wall run also be used to retrigger the wall run. His navigation is really flexible and active. He basically has little maneuvers that let him hop around the environment and manipulate the space more than any other character.”
He continues on say that Captain America’s combat style is very acrobatic. When Captain America is dodging his movements are very concise which end up becoming quick and economical but in all each of his abilities are different. Vince Napoli expresses that they wanted to make it seem like Captain America’s acrobatic prowess is where he gains a lot of strength and power from within combat.
Fans of the game will appreciate and enjoy this new update of Captain America and will be amazed by his skills in the Marvel’s Avengers game. Marvel’s Avengers is set to be released on September 4 for PlayStation 4, Xbox, PC, and Google Stadia.
