Last month, developer Crystal Dynamics held its first War Table livestream for Marvel’s Avengers revealing more details on the story and how the game works and plays. When the game was officially revealed at E3 2019, we learned that a beta will be coming to the game before it launches. Now, Crystal Dynamics has revealed more details about the beta and has set the next War Table livestream which will focus on what players can expect from the beta for July 29. The beta will take place next month over three weekends starting on August 7 and ending on August 23.
The first weekend, from August 7-9, the beta will be available exclusively for PlayStation 4 owners who have pre-ordered the game. Then, the next weekend, August 14-16, the beta is open for all PlayStation 4 owners. During the same weekend, the beta will be available for Xbox and PC players who preordered the game. The last weekend, from August 21-23, the beta is available for everyone on all three platforms. Players who want to try the game out will need to have a Square Enix Members account. Everyone who signs up will receive a Thor in-game nameplate in the final game.
The next War Table livestream will take place on July 29 at 10:00 am PDT. Square Enix said that “the second Marvel’s Avengers War Table will give the most complete look to date at what players can expect from the game’s upcoming beta program, which launches August 7.” The livestream will break down what content will be included in the beta as well as more insight into the design and creation of the game.
Marvel’s Avengers launches on September 4, 2020, for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Google Stadia. The game will also be available for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. Players who own a current-gen version of the game will be able to upgrade to the next-gen version for free.
