Developer Cyborg Dreams recently announced its latest game, Mars: The Last Exodus, a combination of a Colony Simulator and an  RTS. The game will focus largely on resource management and survival, according to a press release.

The official announcement trailer is a combination of cinematic with gameplay elements showcasing the swarms of monsters the players will be responsible for fending off, the civilians that need to be protected, and an assortment of weapons, among other equipment that seems to be available for construction. The gameplay elements shown showcase the UI, an assortment of buildings, visuals, and some minor gameplay of fending off the monsters through the use of missiles and a forcefield.

As the title of the game suggests, the setting for the game will be on Mars, the Red Planet. The lore suggests that the player will be taking control of the final mission to colonize Mars where as every other attempt has failed. The map is realistic as it uses the real mapped terrain of Mars.

There are a number of notable gameplay features that Cyborg Dreams highlighted. The resources that the player will be in charge of managing will be oxygen, food, water, and electricity. Multiple buildings can be built that will use or generate these resources, leading to a system of complex interactions.

Furthermore, technology will be a key focus as the colony can specialize in mining, farming, or military advancements, which will define the play experience. However, the more the colony grows, the greater number of enemies in the swarms will attempt to destroy the colony, meaning building turrets, mechs, raiding enemy nests, and even the ability to create living weapons will be crucial to the game.

Finally, the game is also attempting to make each individual colonist crucial and unique with specific traits, quirks, and their own fully upgradable skill tree. They will be able to build relationships, fall in love, raise families, and shape how effective the colony is.
